WHAT IS thestream ?  So, isn’t a stream of audio….old school? Maybe, but we don’t think so! While On-Demand is certainly useful for the Catholic on the go, sometimes we just want to flip a switch and find good content and then turn it off when we’re done working or vegitating. That’s where thestream comes in: it’s a streaming audio feed of some of the best in Catholic audio! Also, we’ve got the capability to go live, offer exclusive programming, and maybe even give you a few surprises! For a list of some of the programming you can find on thestream, go here. HOW TO DO IT thestream is a shoutcast feed, so you can receive it in many different audio clients, including WinAmp, iTunes, and Windows Media Player. Depending on which client you have, you’ll have to do a few different things. So, here are your options: iTunes iTunes » Advanced » Open Stream... Step 1. Mouse over to Advanced » Open Stream… Step 2. type in http://catholicunderground.com/listen.pls into the Open Stream dialogue box. Step 3. unplug your ears, plug in your headphones, and listen to thestream! WinAmp Step 1. see below Windows Media Player (shudder) Step 1. Buy a Mac Step 2. mms://www.catholicunderground.com/listen.pls goes into Windows Media Player.
